IKEA Glass House

Urban Design designed a new department for IKEA focused on plants and gardening. Two pilot buildings were constructed in Oldenburg and Rostock. The department requires daylight and a climate suited to plants, giving the building a character quite different from the store it adjoins — a glasshouse rather than a retail floor.
