Urban Design was commissioned to design the interior for Hammarby Sjöstad’s new library together with Marge Arkitekter. Luma library is primarily a children’s library. It occupies the former light-bulb factory where the classic Luma lamp was made. The building was designed by Artur von Schmalensee and KFAI Arkitekter in 1930, and the interior relates to the industrial building’s scale and light while giving children rooms at their own size.
