Designing for reuse

In Katrineholm we've studied how a recycling centre can also become a place for reuse — building on what already exists.

To make recycling and reuse easier for companies and residents alike in Katrineholm, the municipality and Sörmlands Vatten och Avfall are planning to build a reuse facility. Urban Design has studied the possibilities for the operation.

Katrineholm municipality is working actively to raise the rate of recycling and reused material, and part of this effort is the investment in a new reuse facility. Together with the municipality and Sörmlands Vatten och Avfall, Urban Design has spent the winter studying the possibility of combining a new recycling centre in Lövåsen with a dedicated space for reuse.
