Form Follows Energy

Together with the ElectriCity network, in October we organised the first seminar in a series: “Form Follows Energy”. We asked ourselves the question: “How do we build an innovative city with a sustainable energy supply, together?” For this first occasion we invited two representatives of energy production and distribution, from Ellevio and Stockholm Exergi respectively, along with the city architects of Stockholm and Täby, to shed light on the questions. Helena gave an overview of the city and energy and led the panel discussion, which came to touch on many things. Among other matters, we agreed on the need for greater insight into and understanding of one another’s operations in order to achieve good, sustainable planning, in which technical supply systems are not merely a technical function but, through careful design, also become a co-creator of good urban space.
