On Blasieholmen, with a view over Strandvägen, Urban Design has been responsible for the interior design of the law firm Hansen’s existing office. Hansen has a profile that is unique for a law firm, both in terms of its offering, its focus on training and health, and its graphic identity. The wish was to create a place where everyone would feel at home. The interior concept therefore took its starting point in the existing interior, where the colour scheme was retained and complemented with a new palette. All the furniture was kept, although some pieces were added. To make the office more personal, we — in collaboration with an advisor — acquired art and decorative objects, as well as a few new pieces of furniture at auction. An analysis of the way of working revealed the need for different types of meeting places that could be formal, informal and relationship-building. Adjacent to the entrance, a corridor was removed, which made possible a larger room with a lounge area. For digital meetings, smaller rooms for a single person have been built with height-adjustable desks. The larger meeting rooms vary in their design in order to offer different types of meetings: one for the more intimate conversation without screens, a classic boardroom, and one with a higher table and a sofa group.
