Kv Ärlan

The Ärlan block sits within Nässjö’s grid city around the centre and today holds two school properties. Urban Design was commissioned to study the future use of the handsome Centralskolan building and to produce a number of parallel proposals for housing and businesses on the site. The work weighs careful treatment of the existing school building against the need for new development, testing how the block can be densified without losing the scale of the grid city or the qualities of Centralskolan.
